We've landed in ANZ, opening offices in Melbourne and Sydney. We want to work with the country’s most ambitious businesses and people with a spirit for innovation and bold new ideas.
We’re excited to announce Dan Edgar, former Accenture AI Industry Lead, to head up our next international outpost and help our customers achieve competitive advantage through deeply embedded AI.
We’re already delivering generative AI and autonomous agent solutions for pioneering organisations across APAC. The new Australian hubs will blend global experience with local expertise to speed up AI integration, address Australia’s widening skills shortage, and unlock productivity gains of up to 40% within the next four years. The expansion will also create at least 40 jobs over the next 12 months.
Australia: A Country of AI Innovators
Australia is rapidly emerging as Asia-Pacific’s AI hub. While headlines often focus on workforce gaps, we see a different story: a nation of forward-looking companies eager to lead in applied AI, and a place where the next generation of specialists can thrive. Increased use of AI could add $112 billion in annual GDP by improving productivity, according to recent OpenAI and the Australian Computer Society report.
Australia is one of the most advanced countries in terms of AI adoption among consumers. Combined with the Aussie spirit for innovation and taking on bold new ideas meant it was the obvious choice for us to find the best AI talent in the world, and the boldest clients.
Unlike firms that focus on surface-level automation, Tomoro designs and builds autonomous AI agents; synthetic employees that can reason, problem-solve, and grow alongside human teams.
Dan Edgar said, “Our mission is to embed AI deeply into how organisations operate, and I’m deeply passionate about building Australia’s AI capabilities and elevating our homegrown talent on the world stage. The Tomoro team has a proven track record with some of the most advanced AI solutions and engineering challenges globally, and I’m excited to join and help Australia realise the same ambition.”
Tomoro will work with Australian universities, clients, and industry partners as it builds its network in the region. Following the announcement of OpenAI’s incoming Sydney office, Tomoro is also now one of OpenAI’s Services Partners in Australia, bringing comprehensive ChatGPT Enterprise training, along with Agentic AI implementation services to businesses locally.
Defining the Future of Work
Australians are already asking tough questions about the future of work. Proposals for a four-day week and extended holiday entitlements have gained momentum, reflecting a desire to turn productivity gains into time, not just profit. Businesses and unions alike are weighing how to balance competitiveness with wellbeing.
Our three-day week vision builds on that debate - showing how AI could enable even greater flexibility within the next decade. By using AI agents to handle repetitive work and enhance human performance, Tomoro believes Australian firms can achieve more in less time, unlocking both economic growth and a better quality of life.
