"Scotland Has the Talent to Solve the Hardest Problems in AI" - Minister Opens Edinburgh Office as Tomoro Commits £10m to Scottish AI Talent
We have officially opened our new Edinburgh office in Fountainbridge, marking our commitment to Scotland's exceptional AI talent with a £10 million investment over the next three years to significantly expand our headcount.
For the opening, we welcomed Richard Lochhead, Scottish Minister for Business, who described Tomoro as "a European technology powerhouse helping ensure Scotland is at the forefront of the AI revolution."
Our Edinburgh site is already home to teams working on some of the world's most complex AI engineering challenges for Virgin Atlantic, Fidelity International, Supercell and more. The added investment will expand our Scottish team significantly, creating roles for AI engineers and delivery leads, building custom AI solutions for global enterprises across financial services, energy, travel, pharmaceutical and consumer goods.
"Scotland has the talent, ambition and world-class research ecosystem required to shape how businesses, at home and across the world, benefit from AI's impact. The solutions Ed and the team showed me today are testament to the capability on offer. Tomoro's decision to invest further and grow its presence here strengthens Scotland's position as a global hub for innovation. This £10 million commitment will create high-value jobs, develop exceptional local talent and contribute significantly to our dynamic tech economy," said Richard Lochhead, Minister for Business.
Why Scotland? Because the Talent is World-Class
From day one we've believed Scotland has the depth of talent, curiosity and engineering excellence to solve the hardest problems businesses face. Our teams here are already working on some of the most ambitious AI solutions anywhere in the world.
"We're welcoming more exceptional people and giving them the platform to build transformative AI solutions that change how enterprises operate. This new office and increased commitment are about doubling down on that belief. It was great to demonstrate our vision and some of our solutions to Minister Lochhead today," said Ed Broussard, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Tomoro.
In the last year we have quadrupled our headcount and increased monthly global revenue more than tenfold. In 2025, we added to our growing international presence with recent launches in Singapore and Sydney.
Tomoro's Head of People, Ami Islam, said: "We know to solve the hardest problems, we need the best people. We recognise how important Scotland is as a centre for innovation in Europe. We're determined to be a long-term partner in this ecosystem and growing our team here and adding more brilliant minds is a top priority for us."
